Don had another nightmare. Some flashback about the abuse he once experienced. He said that he remembered a monster with needles sews his head. And some toys soldier laughed at him in the darkness. He also remembered that he was once very close to a little girl, but he couldn't remember her name. But that girl put her away after he told her some secret. The secret that shocked that little girl and inappropriate to be told.
A name, Pogo had been the victim of his actions according to this matter. What was Pogo? Then he also remembered that symbol placed at the archway on the village entrance where we met the girl who tricked us into looking for her cat. That was the symbol of The Order, the low rank of the Nobles who used his grandfather's persona to trick people. The name Jas also came in her dream, blurry, but he almost could sense the fear of Jas's victims when she was tied, tortured and got prepared to be sacrificed. Sacrificed to Stefano, the god worshipped by Jas's sect! Then Don woke up with a wrathful face. It was getting personal after Don found out that all that massacres done by that stupid Order and Sects were referring and led by his dad's worshipping. I couldn’t recall any names Don mentioned, but I followed him packing up for our next journey. Which was raiding any village with that symbols. And took over the worshipping. The nearest village we found was just across the river, we found ourselves a bit unwelcomed. Perhaps because the three of us were not so common by appearance only. Just if Don could hide his glowing eyes, perhaps we would not get too many attention. We stayed at the Inn, not so good, just nice. I asked Don what were we waiting for just sat and laid there. He told me to wait and increase my perception, so I cast the spell to increase my perception. Don was right, there were sounds of chanting monks in the distance heading this way. Sheen extracted a kind of loupe from her head, and let me used it. I can see about forty monks walking and dragging some kind of altar of sacrifice with them. I asked Don to get them right away, but Don wanted the Villagers to see and know who the people who ran The Sect really were. A few minutes later, the monks' convoy arrived right in front of the Inn we stayed in. We heard noises from outside. Some men cried begging for their daughter no to be taken. Some girls cried calling their parents. These monks were legally abducting people. They tied one of the girls to the sacrificial altar. Don opened our room window that happened right on top of the convoy, then he said,"well, village people, now that you can see your god still needs people's blood. I doubt that your god was so invincible. Besides, that's my family logo you're using there. But I don't know any lowlives like you!" Then Don jumped out and tried to free the girl. Those forty monks surrounded Don, ready to attack. I and Sheen watched from the window. I didn't think that there will be any more power that could beat Don. They formed a line, then the furthest hit the monk who stood in front of him, then that monk hit the next monk, and so on until they formed a big energy. Big enough to hit Don away and destroyed the altar too. The sacrificial girl wounded badly. Lamma dragged her out of the debris and took her to me. I started giving her medication immediately. This girl was too severe to be cured. but still, I tried. Sheen made her move, she spread her wing to jump high and landed right in the center of the monks' line. Then she swirled fast with her blade wings open. A few monks down. The rests wrestled Sheen until Sheen was overwhelmed. Don got up. Looked at the wounded girl then he said,"if I can't save your life. I promise I will save you in your death! And give you your chance for revenge." Then Don came over the monks who seemed almost had control over Sheen. He was very very furious! He hit the monk one by one. No spell. No summoning. No cold attack. Only used his fists powered by his overwhelming anger. I heard bones cracked. I heard people begging for mercy. But Don didn't stop until every one of them kneel before him! Then he said with one foot on the head of a monk, "It is I, Don who knows nothing. From now on, I will take over each village that had been suffering from the act of these cults' actions! If I or you people ever heard anymore sacrifice, join me! We'll make them pay!" Then Don asked me about the girl I took care of. I shook my head sadly because she was beyond healing. Then Don opened his mouth near the girl's mouth and inhaled her life as his. He kept his promise. "My Lord Don", I whispered. |
