Lord Don seemed excited when Sheen mentioned Tigrids. He said that that name felt familiar to him. Then Lord Don asked me to open the scrapbooks where he wrote and drew his nightmares. After several hours of searching, we found the writing about Tigrids he wrote on one of the scrapbooks. It said that Tigrids was a huge giant with a toadlike skin. Then we also found the drawing depicting Tigrids. So we showed the picture to Sheen, but Sheen shook her head, told us that the creature in Lord Don's drawing was not Tigrids he knew.
Lord Don seemed disappointed that one of the clues he had about this realms origins had been disapproved. So I cheered him up by showing him some illusions about dancing stars and meteor showers. I laughed so hard when Lamma jumped because he was afraid of one of the creatures shown in my illusion. A monstrous elephant rode by a beautiful girl. Lord Don asked me about that elephant. I told him that it was a legendary blizzard proof creature and lived in the far South. And it was once lived in the ring of ice that isolated our realm before the ultimate war. Lord Don said that he remembered fighting one of those monsters, but could not remember the detail. Could that be? So, how old was Lord Don exactly? He couldn't be the age of fifteen like he told me. But I kept the possibilities open. I rarely had any normal experience since I met him. He then asked me to stop calling him Lord Don, but just Don instead. I refused, but he insisted. I asked him why he wanted me to stop calling him Lord Don. He answered that he wanted to earn that Lord calling. He wanted to fight until people start calling him Lord themselves. Sheen seemed to understand what Don's point was, perhaps because Sheen was a fighter herself. So tonight, we changed two names at the same time. Sheen's and Lord Don's names, oops, Don was what I meant. Don said that he was getting bored of our clueless journey and asked us to make a poll about which direction we should go to from our last bonfire. As always, I was the last to make any option. Oh, I meant the second last, Lamma was the last one. Sheen wanted to go after The Tyrant and those Pure Blessers, which meant West direction. Don wanted to meet those ice giants he saw earlier, which meant South. I offered Don to increase his level before we went someplace more dangerous. Then we made a poll. The result made us all happy. Even more to me. We decided to find a place where Don could level himself up. So we head North, to the high places where the evil giants lurked. It took us several weeks to get there. Sheen tried to reason with me that those giants we were going to meet were not necessarily evil. I could understand her since she grew up with monsters and other mystical beasts. She could watch a dragon burned a village and still felt fine with that because that's what dragons do. So I promised her that she didn't need to be worried and that they were called The Evil Giants for some reasons too. We arrived at the evil giants' lair archway... the archway so big that we could only tell it was an archway from distance. We could not see the top of it because it was covered by clouds. I stopped our escorting there, and asked Don to continue his journey alone. He looked hesitated, so did Sheen, but I assured them both that it was what it took for Don to reach his higher potential faster. But I didn't want it to be a suicide mission either, so I handed him some potion bags and magic scrolls. So there he went to come back as the better Don he could be, whatever that would be. |
